Competition in 2010 – cooperation with PML Arkitektur

Strømsø – originally an island - is amputated from the river, inbetween the highway and the train tracks. The project suggests bringing this part of town back to the water - bringing the water into the town, by establishing a canal and bridges across the tracks to fishing places along the river. This is the blue frame for densifying around the train station. Beyond the orthogonal urban grid where the structure of the town is more spread, green programs that can benifit new housing programs in the dense structure can flourish.
