The project was developed 2009 in cooperation with Bjørbekk & Lindheim landskapsarkitekter AS in a limited competition on a main square and strand promenade in Båtsfjord, a small fishing village in the north of Norway.

The projects draws on the identity of the place; the natural, the historical and the industrial Båtsjord. The construction of the square is inprired by fishing piers and constructions for drying fish.
